I run the filter about 8 hours a day and I have it installed for about 3 weeks.
The good: The UV light has done an excellent job of reducing the green algae.
The bad: The problem is that most of the particles are too small to be filtered by this product. When the pump is running, it stirs up all the muck in the pond.
Value for money: Not really. I could have bought a UV clarifier for approx $100 and not bothered with filtration because this filter is almost ineffective.

Never knew it could be so easy to clean the pond filter. Previously i had a filter box that i had to pull out, take apart and spray off the filters. It didn't filter well and was a pain. This cleans super well (pond water is the clearest it's ever been) and being able to switch the filter to clean mode for a bit to backwash is so much easier. One thing to be aware of is this filter is about the size of an average wastebasket so it's fairly large. |
