Description

The Oase Pondovac 3 Pond Vacuum is a two-chambered pond vacuum that removes capacity restrictions and allows the pond to be vacuumed constantly. Two identically sized cylinders are filled and emptied in alternating cycles. When one container is full a valve is mechanically activated by a float, triggering the alternate container to empty while at the same time allowing the other cylinder to be filled.

The Pondovac 3 is easily moved (built in wheels) and includes a string algae nozzle, wide nozzle with rubber lip, a crevice tool, a floor nozzle, vacuum tube extension and a debris collection bag. It is also great for cleaning out Waterfall Filters without a back flush.

The Pondovac 3 works very well for my pond application and is a relatively high quality product. My pond is approximately 15 x 7 and 3 feet deep all around with a 25 foot running river system into it. The vac cleans very quickly but occasionally gets plugged by leaves or excess algae at the attachment tip. The manufacture should include some type of course filter screen built in to the attachment tips. The internal system can be easily cleaned after use. The plastic tubes fully connected seem a little bit flimsy and maybe thats why the newer version offers aluminum tubes. Even though the box indicates that the vac can be used for swimming pools, I do not think it is recommended in pools with high concentration of Chlorine. All in all, the vac performs very well for my pond cleaning purposes. Great product.
