The addition of pond lights or a lighting system to a backyard pond or water garden can extend the enjoyment of a beautiful setting into the evening or night-time hours. LED accents are already a standard landscaping feature used to mark paths, obstacles or items of interest in a well-designed outdoor setting. These same types of lights can also be used around a pond to create added evening interest.
Only light fixtures specifically designed for pond lighting should be used around ponds and pondless water features. Only lamps sealed and designed for underwater use should be submerged inside the pond.
