Description

The Savio UVinex Stainless Steel Clarifiers are the newest design only for Savio Skimmerfilters and Compact Skimmerfilters. Coated bulb technology is virtually maintenance free with no glass sleeves. Just wipe clean with a damp cloth to restore full effectiveness. The new stainless steel design now comes with a 4 pin bulb.

Note: You can use up to two UV's (26 Watt, 50 Watt or the High Output 35 Watt, and 55 Watt) in the Skimmerfilter.

Warning: Do NOT lift the UVinex by the bulb when taking out of the package.

Very happy with my purchase. I have a 9,000 gallon koi pond with 25 fish and had an out of control algae problem. Since installing two of these UV sterilizers have noticeably clearer water quality after the first week. I highly recommend these for the serious koi keeper.

Lights are great when they work. Problem is they don't last a long time. Bought one a few years ago. Lasted about 18 months and the power supply went out. No details available on the power supply output etc so I bought a new one. Not a small investment at $280-$350 dollars. Newest one lasted 5 months and the power supply again went out. Couldn't find the receipt so I couldn't claim a warranty repair. Have now bought a third. Not sure I will by a fourth if this keeps up. Will switch to copper anode to deal with algae because light power sources aren't reliable and not very easy to switch out just that part. Also for what you get the price is ridiculous. Parts are probably no more than $35 to build but selling at exorbitant rate if you get the Savio Skimmer and have to use this model.

Amazing

I am new to this whole pond thing. I bought a house that had a pond (about 3,000 gallons). The water was green and completely opaque. I bought the Savio Skimmerfilter and an Aquascape Aquasurge 4000 pump. After a lot of effort digging to install that stuff, it made no difference in water clarity. I bought one of these 50 W clarifiers, it installed in about 2 minutes (one single screw holds it in position in the skimmer filter) and a little over a week later, my water was very clear. I don't have a biological filter water fall yet and I don't have any aeration pump yet. So for water clarity this thing really does wonders. It is great to be able to see the fish in the pond and the rocks on the bottom. Now that the water is clear, I am itching to add more fish.

UV light

I ordered and received a Savio UV light to clarify my pond water (3500 gallons). I already had installed the Savio skimmer with 2 spots for the UV light. I installed this light which was rated for an even larger pond than mine. It was easy to install (one screw which was provided) and cleared my pond within a couple of days and has kept it clear so far. I am well satisfied with this product. It is expensive (for me) so I'm hoping it lasts a long time.

From green to clear in less than a week. Works great the Savio Skimmer. Make sure you order the mounting kit for older models. Not having to deal with the glass shield is great. After breaking several of them over the years, this model is so easy to operate and use.
