The Cetus Sieve is a bow screened pre-filter made using the latest rotational molding technology. It is made for pre-filtration of any biological filter, including all pressure filters. Designed to efficiently and effectively remove large amounts of mechanical waste from a pond, and it includes the necessary parts to set it up to be gravity-fed or pump-fed. Its robust one-piece mold is totally reliable and comes with flexible boots to help connect it to the pipe work. Comes complete with a 300 micron prefilter included. Gravity Fed: This Cetus has a variable inlet height using the patented Pondflow regulation system. This allows the water levels within the pond to drop without causing the circulating pump to be starved of water. It will allow a skimmer or a bottom drain to accept vast amounts of waste without excessive cleaning needed to be carried out. The water must then be pumped to either a normal filter above pond level or to a pressurized filter.Pump Fed: The sieve is placed above pond water level and then the exit water is gravity dropped into your main filter.It is advised that all pressurized filters be pre-filtered using a Cetus to reduce excessive back-washing and maintenance due to heavy solids.
